Mentorship FAQs

Q) Do I need to be fully qualified to get mentorship support?

A) Nope! I’m happy to work with you even if you’ve not yet graduated. In fact, I think working with a mentor in the really early stages is a great idea - you have personal guidance right from the very beginning.

Q) I saw you went to IIN. I went to a different school - is that OK?

A) Absolutely! Business mentorship goes way beyond what you learned / are learning at school.

Q) Will this help me actually get clients?

A) Yes - but I make no gaurantees or promises as to how quickly that will happen. I’ll help you create a sustainable business with a marketing strategy that makes sense for your lifestyle, values, and ideal clients. Getting clients comes from clarity, confidence and consistency. I’m fully transparent in that it took me around 16-18 months to earn back the money I’d invested in my initial coaching program plus some other early business expenses.

Q) I’m still working full time or have other commitments. Is it realistic to build a business on the side?

A) I believe so, though I personally didn’t have a job (I’d been made redundant thanks to Covid) and didn’t yet have children when I very first got started. Building your business doesn’t have to take hours and hours but it does take consistency and you’ll need to commit to showing up to the process. You didn’t become a health coach to burn out or to stop working out or sleeping enough - so you need to be realistic as to how much of a priority this is for you right now.

Q) What is Voxer?

A) It’s an app very similar to Whatsapp that I use to connect with clients outside of sessions, or to offer asynchronous support (in addition to email).

Q) Is mentorship with you tax-deductible as a business expense?

A) In most cases yes as it’s professional development and support with your business setup. Do check with your accountant or financial advisor to clarify for your own personal setup.

Q) If I book the Business Plan initially, can I add on the 1:1 package afterwards?

A) If i have the availability in my diary for 1:1 support then yes, absolutely. If I’m fully booked you’ll be added to my waiting list and I’ll reach out when I have space. In either case if you upgrade to 1:1 support I’ll deduct your initial investment from the cost of the package.

Q) Do I have to pay in full or do you offer a payment plan?

A) The Business Plan is pay in full in advance. I can split the cost across two months, but your session won’t take place until I’ve recieved full payment. Contact me if you’d like me to set this up for you. The Business Plan + 1:1 Support can be paid in full or alternatively an initial deposit of £350 secures your spot followed by three subsequent monthly payments of £181.67, which will be set up via direct debit. Asynchronous monthly support added on to the Busines Plan is an up-front investment of £90 per month

Q) Do you help with things like insurance and legal stuff?

A) I can’t give legal advice, but I can walk you through the general requirements for UK-based health coaches, point you toward the right resources, and help you feel confident you’ve got the essentials covered. If you’re based outside the UK I’ll help you find resources you can use to know you’re covered in wherever you’re based. I can’t share my own legal documents with you as I’d be breaching my conditions of purchase, but I’ll happily recomend the services I’ve used and loved.
